Working closely with the product I have noticed a few opportunities for improvement. Below, I have documented in detail what those opportunities are and proposed solutions for addressing them. These are ideas based on my understanding of the user needs and business goals. Keep in mind that any wireframes are not final designs and are only there to help illustrate the potential UI/UX of the feature.
Simplify Workspaces
Simplifying Workspaces would create a more seamless experience when creating inspections that should result in more reports generated.
Standardize Map Layers
Standardizing the way we present map layers would allow us to display all user layers in one flat list, giving users more flexibility and helping them better manage their data.
Build out Data Mapping Functionality
Data mapping for assets means we not only get more insight into what users are uploading, we can also leverage that information to offer new products (i.e. exposure reports, asset reports, etc).
Overhaul Data Order/Import Flow
Overhaul of the data order/import flow will improve usability and lower the barrier to creating or adding layers to their project
Data Catalog
If the ADP is the tool for managing and manipulating data, then the data browser would be the way users access the data. This is the scalable solution for Data Management and the Data Catalog.
